Nice to meet you.

We are Paul and Simon Wade. We are writers, directors and also brothers.

We started out as kids growing up in Luton, making silly little horror shorts in the woods with an old DV camera and forcing our family to take part.

Since then we have grown up slightly and are now based out of London, working across narrative fiction, music videos and promotional content. Our films have been shown on both TV and at festivals internationally including Beijing, Moscow and London.

We have recently just finished filming ‘A Moral Man’, our new short drama starring Toby Jones and Claudie Blakely. The drama focuses on Philip, a right to die activist who wrestles with his faith and morality as he is asked to assist in the death of someone who is not terminally ill.

‘Huntington Gardens’ was a comedy produced for Sky Arts as part of Art 50, a scheme focusing on post Brexit Britain. The film is available on demand now and follows three families who battle it out for the best parking spaces on their street.

‘Then & Now’ is a three part, improvised drama starring Kacey Ainsworth and Liam Tobin that screened on Channel 5 on demand. The drama focuses on two childhood friends who reconnect during lockdown, however it quickly becomes clear there’s something looming in their past. The drama can now be seen at Discover Films.

Our first short, ‘A Private Man’, was funded by the BFI and Creative England as part of their ishorts scheme. The film stars Paul Freeman and follows a voyeuristic repairman who becomes obsessed with a new tenant in his building.

We followed this up with ‘Jake the Magnificent’, a short comedy in collaboration  with The Roundhouse. The online film fund winner centres around Jake who has 5 days to learn the disappearing trick before performing it at his birthday party. Will he become the magician he dreams of or will it end in disaster?
